The Witcher is Coming to Netflix!
Get ready to be enchanted by the eerie and fanatasy filled land filled with elves, witches, dawrves and sorcercers, as the most awaited television of the year, The Witcher is finally coming to your screens this weekend on Netflix!
You can start streaming The Witcher on Netflix on the 20th of December. It is the same date as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is releasing, it is safe to say that Netflix Series isn’t backing out from some competition.
The upcoming Eight Episode Drama series is created by 2 time GMA AWARDS Nominated Lauren Schmidt. Having a phenomenal cast starring Henry Cavill as Geralt, the lead role. Freya Allen, Adam Levy and many other celebrities you’ll have to see the show to find out.
The show is based on the popular book by author Andrzej Sapkowski, The books have been adapted into a film, a televisions series, video games, and a graphic novel series.
And don’t worry, Sapkowski isn’t out of the picture, to make sure the credibility remains, he’s working on the series as a creative consultant.
The series will revolve around the eponymous “witcher”, Geralt of Rivia . In Sapkowski’s works, “witchers” are beast hunters who develop supernatural abilities at a young age to battle wild beasts and monsters. So we’re hoping it’s not too stray from that and knowing Lauren and Sapkowski are working on this together, it’s going to be worth the wait!
The Witcher is so popular that even before the release of Season 1, Netflix has already confirmed that they’re working on a Season 2 (release dates aren’t confirmed).
