Pakistan’s First Case of Coronavirus Suspected in Multan

The deadly coronavirus has kept most of the Chinese population home bound, however, Pakistan may be on the list of the life-threatening virus.

On Saturday, Major General Dr. Aamer Ikram, Chief of The National Institutes of Health, stated that a Chinese national had been admitted for showing symptoms of flu, cough, and fever at the Nishtar Hospital, Multan.

According to details, the 40 year old Chinese national was working on a project in the industrial estate and had traveled from Wuhan, China and arrived at Multan a few days ago. The necessary precautions have been taken and the test results were reported to arrive within 48 hours.

In Lahore, three Chinese nationals are also admitted at Service’s Hospital for exhibiting flu-like symptoms and have been shifted to the isolation ward. The suspected patients are residents of the Chinese city of Wuhan where the coronavirus originally spread from.

  Currently, China has confirmed a total of 830 cases of people infected with coronavirus while approximately 1,072 patients are suspected to be infected with the virus.
