Pakistan’s First Astronaut to Go On a Space Mission in 2022

Pakistan plans to send its find its first astronaut on a space mission by 2022 and Fawad Chaudhry, the Federal Minister for Science an Technology says Pakistan is on a lookout for the country’s first astronaut this year.

According to him, a list of fifty recruits will be compiled for the mission this year and training for astronaut will begin next year. They’re hoping to send the astronaut on a mission by late 2022 or early 2023.

The minister also said that some 456 government schools would be upgraded as Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths school in the first stage.

The minister also stated that the private sector will also be involved in the project.
