‘Star Wars’ actor Andrew Jack passes way from COVID-19 at the age of 76

The 76-year-old Actor actor, Andrew Jack, passed away this Tuesday at Surrey hospital in the UK just two days after contracting COVID-19.

Jack also was a professional dialect training coach and had started in over 80 movies and had most famously known as General Ematt in “Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi” and “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.”

His agent, Jill McCullough confirmed his death and stated that he had been the acting world’s brightest and clearest voices. His wife was unable to visit him at the time of his death due to her being stuck in quarantine in Australia.

“Andrew was full of life, he was tall and striking with flowing white hair, you wouldn’t miss him if he walked into a room,” McCullough said in a statement. “He loved his work and was funny, charming and a joy to be around.”

Jack’s had previously coached Robert Downey Jr. for his movie, “Sherlock” and Chris Hemsworth for “Avengers” and “Thor: Ragnarok” with their dialect. He was currently training Robert Pattinson for his upcoming movie, “Batman.”
