Bill Gates Praises Pakistan’s Efforts to Fight the Covid-19 Pandemic

American philanthropist and businessman, Bill Gates praised Pakistan’s efforts against the Coronavirus outbreak in a telephonic conversation with PM Imran Khan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan shared with Bill Gates how Pakistan is going above and beyond in its fight against the pandemic. They also discussed he latest developments related to Pakistan’s response to Covid-19.

PM Imran Khan also emphasized how Pakistan’s fight is on two fronts – overcoming the virus pandemic and saving the country’s vulnerable segments from hunger due to country-wide lockdown.

He also mentioned that his government had compiled a $8 billion package to help support the affectees and businesses.

Later on, PM showed appreciation on the support by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and all other international partners that have extended their helpful hands during these desperate and distressful times.

The two also discussed their shared priority in eradicating polio and that anti-polio teams are supporting the training of health workers in the frontline of Covid-19 fight.
