Dwayne Johnson, “The Rock” Tops the List of Highest Paid Actors Again

Dwayne Johnson, the wrestler turned actor also known as the Rock, again led Forbes’ list of highest-paid performers in the fiscal year ending June 2020, having made a record $87.5 million (£67 million).

Ryan Reynolds and Mark Wahlberg were next on the chart, with $71.5 m and $58 m, respectively. Except for Johnson, the names reflect a noticeable contrast to those on last year’s top 10, dominated by Marvel franchise stars.

Johnson is still selling his profitable Under Armour collection, complete with accessories, clothing and headphones, along with cashing a massive check for his Netflix movie “Red Alert” as Forbes estimates that it was worth $23.5 million.

Hamilton founder LinManuel Miranda, actors Will Smith and Adam Sandler and martial arts star Jackie Chan rounded out the list.

Akshay Kumar, the only Bollywood star in the top 10, landed 6th with $US 48.5 million in earnings. Most of its revenue came from endorsements of the product, Forbes said.
