Pixel 3 vs Pixel 3 XL – The Differences

The point of differentiation between the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL is only the screen size and the battery. The Pixel 3 has a smaller screen size, about  5.5-inch OLED display, 2160×1080 resolution, while the Pixel 3 XL is a staggering 6.3-inch OLED display, 2960×1440 resolutions. The Pixel 3 XL also has a large notch that people find distracting and also cutting into possible usable space. The second noticeable difference is the battery capacity. The Pixel 3 has a 2915 mAh Li ion battery where as the Pixel 3 XL has gotten a 17% increase in the battery size; at 3430 mAh. A larger screen size compliments the battery size and it makes sense that the larger battery size is needed to support a larger display size. Pricing is another factor that points the difference between both the devices. The Pixel 3 is available in the market for 80,000 Pakistani Rupees, while the Pixel 3XL is priced at 130,000 Pakistani Rupees.

Pixel 3 vs Pixel 3 XL – Verdict?

Judging the devices on their points of parity and differences, i can sum up the Pixel 3XL as an elongated version of the Pixel 3. The specifications are the same besides features like screen size and battery, that’s literally it. Both the phones have the same type of screen, the same camera specifications, run on the same operating system and have the same chipsets, RAM, memory and looks. For me, the Pixel 3 takes the cake, but if you have big hands, the Pixel 3 XL will serve you ideally.
