HBL PSL 2020 Trophy’s First Look Unveiled in Karachi
The most anticipated event in Pakistan, the HBL Pakistan Super League 2020 is bound to start from today. Yesterday, the trophy for HBL PSL 2020 was unveiled at Karachi’s National Stadium in the PSL Opening Ceremony.
This was the first-ever trophy unveiling to take place in Pakistan. The trophy stands 65 cm long and weighs 8 kg. It has a crescent and a star that represents Pakistan along with multi-coloured enamel stripes that represent the vibrant and different cultures of the country.
This year’s Superleague will be the fifth season of HBL Pakistan’s cricket Superleague and will be Pakistan’s biggest cricket tournament after 2008’s Asia Cup.
The winning team will take home $500,000 cash prize and the runner up team will bag a prize of $200,000 along with prizes of different categories to be awarded among others.
The Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Mani, stated while addressing to the media that this year’s PSL will be; “one of the heaviest seasons in Pakistan cricket’s history.” Where a total of 190 matches will be played in Pakistan’s biggest cities.
