Pakistan Bags Success against Sri Lanka in the Homecoming Test Series

In the recent cricket match that took place, Pakistan bags victory against Sri Lanka in the first home Test series in a decade.

Pakistan won the two-match Test series, that was held in Karachi’s National Stadium, 1-0 against Sri Lanka after winning the second Test match by 263 runs.

Pakistan suspending hosting international cricket matches following the attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore in 2009. It is Pakistan’s first series win at home against Sri Lanka since the year 1992 and true moment for celebration and rejoice of victory.

 The match took place on Sunday where Pakistan set a daunting score of 476-run target for the Sri Lankan team and had them staring at defeat on 212 runs with 7 out at the end of the game.

The man of the match was the young Naseem Shah who is only 16 years old and became the second youngest bowler to take five wickets in a Test inning. The youngster bowled spectacularly to finish with 5-31.

At the end of the match, the Pakistani skipper, Ali, thanked Sri Lanka for their part in allowing Test cricket to return to Pakistan.

“Special thanks to Sri Lanka from the bottom of our hearts,” said Ali. “They have given us immense happiness by playing in Pakistan, it was pretty emotional.”

In praise of Naseem’s outstanding performance, he further added, “Naseem is a special talent and we can build on our bowling attack in the years to come.”
