The biggest super league of Pakistan is set to be on your screen once again and will take off on the 20th of February, 2020.
The Pakistan Cricket Board released a statement that the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League, PSL with scheduled to start on February 20th and the series will run a month long, ending on March 22nd.
A total of 34 matches will be played. Where 14 matches will take place in Lahore, 9 in Karachi, 8 matches in Rawalpindi and 3 in Multan.
The first match to be played will be held at the National Stadium in Karachi. The opening game is set to feature the defending champions Quetta Gladiators and two-time champions Islamabad United. The final match is to be taken place in Lahore at the Gaddafi Stadium, where two eliminator rounds will be held as well.
After the release of the schedule, at the entrance of PCB, a countdown clock has been set as well and after the release of the schedule, the PCB Chairman, Mr. Ehsan Mani said: “After bringing Test cricket back to Pakistan, hosting of the entire HBL Pakistan Super League is our other major achievement. I never had any doubts it was Pakistan’s league and should be played in front of home crowds. We had made this commitment to the people of Pakistan at the end of last year’s event and I am pleased today we have announced the event schedule with four centers to share the 34 event matches between them.”
The tickets will be available for purchase on the 20th of January, 2020.
